GSoC 2019 starts with 206 Open Source organizations that will handle 1.276 university students and their projects from all over the world. Seven of them from our org, based on the Liquid Galaxy LAB of the Scientific Park of Lleida, with 3 students from Lleida, 2 from Barcelona, one from Brasil and one from India. There were a record number of students submitting proposals for the program this year: 5,606 students from 103 countries submitted 7,555 proposals.
In Lleida, a unic historic data around Spain, we have obtained 26 "interns" in the last 7 years, with more than 140.000 $ earn by our students.
Since its inception in 2005, the global program sponsored by Google has selected more than 14.000 students and 24.000 mentors from 118 countries.

This 2019, and as a good first, we have selected a women, Claudia Diosán, that will work on his HAPIS project to help homeless and in need people.
